Project management

Plan excerptProject management is the delivery of projects on time and to budget. Web projects require specific experience and expertise in managing suppliers, understanding the technology involved, carefully managing “scope creep” and communicating both creative and technical issues clearly to audiences who may have less technical exposure.

White-label or external project management

Some projects require external project management to keep things in line. Suppliers may not have the experience (or resources) to manage medium to large scale public sector projects; clients may not have the confidence dealing with technical issues and managing a range of suppliers providing different elements of a project. It can also be helpful in any situation to have a fresh set of eyes on a project, making sure things work to plan. There’s also a question of resources; do you really want to hire a new member of staff for a three-month project?

I have managed public sector site builds with budgets of over £50,000 and several suppliers providing different aspects of site build, from design to hosting. I also understand the complicated politics and procedures of the public sector. I am quick to become part of a team, and have extensive experience integrating into both supplier and client environments.
